Will Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy Help Me?
Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy is an experiential treatment method that utilizes the Client’s interaction with horses to address a variety of mental health and human development needs. Horses are intuititve creatures and help us recognize and address issues related to:
- Anxiety & Depression
- Attention Deficit Disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Grief & Loss
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Substance Abuse
- Eating Disorders
- Anger Management Issues
- Relationship & Communication Issues
We utilize the Eagala method of Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. This method helps clients overcome challenges and implement change through a unique experiential process that utilizes horses to provide insight into how thoughts, feelings and behaviors impact perceptions, attitudes and relationships. The Eagala Method involves ground work and utilizes a team approach. A licensed mental health professional and Equine Specialist work together with at least one equine during session.
